AI does more of the execution. You own the engineering.

The shift

AI can write code. Can you engineer the application?

Anyone can now generate components, APIs and even whole projects with AI. But generating code is not the same as engineering software. A real engineer has to answer questions like these:

  • What problem are we actually solving?
  • How should the system be designed?
  • Is the API secure?
  • What happens when two users change the same record?
  • How do you test code that AI wrote?
  • Can you explain and defend the decisions behind your application?

The advantage won't go to people who can ask AI to write code. It will go to engineers who know what to ask, what to build, what to verify and what to reject.

The difference

Vibe coding is useful. But it isn't engineering.

What you'll be able to do

Imagine your interviewer asks…

  • Why did you choose this architecture?
  • What happens if two users update the same record?
  • How did you test it?
  • What happens if the AI gives a wrong answer?
  • How did you secure the API?

Before

"I used ChatGPT to build my project."

After

"I took a business requirement, designed the domain and architecture, used AI to accelerate implementation, generated and verified tests, addressed security and concurrency, integrated AI capabilities, and deployed the application."

The method

How we use AI.

Human judgement + AI execution + continuous verification. Because AI-generated output is not evidence of correctness.

The AI engineering loop

  1. Context
  2. Analyse
  3. Design
  4. Generate
  5. Test
  6. Review
  7. Verify
  8. Refine

Don't just give AI a prompt. Give it context.

  • Business context
  • Domain model
  • Architecture
  • Coding conventions
  • Business rules
  • Constraints
  • Acceptance criteria

→ Better AI execution

How software development is changing

  1. Traditional"I build it."
  2. AI-assisted"Help me build it."
  3. AI-driven"Help me engineer it."
  4. Agentic"Here's the goal. Execute it within these constraints."

The goal isn't to remove the engineer. It's to move the engineer's time toward higher-value work: requirements, architecture, decisions, verification, security and accountability.

Why it's different

This isn't another "learn AI tools" course.

Not just prompting

Learn to give AI meaningful engineering context.

Not just coding

Understand the complete software lifecycle.

Not just demos

Build a real application step by step — ours, or your own idea.

Not just AI generation

Test, review and verify what AI produces.

Not just development

Cover security, deployment and production concerns.

Not just a tool

Learn a repeatable engineering method.

What you leave with

At the end of the program.

  • A working application — TalentAI, or your own idea, built step by step across the program.
  • A portfolio project — One you can demonstrate and discuss in interviews.
  • Practical AI development experience — Using AI across the whole software lifecycle.
  • Experience with agentic development — Not just chat-based coding.
  • Production-oriented thinking — Security, observability, scalability, cost and reliability.
  • A repeatable method — That you can apply to your own projects.
  • The ability to explain and defend the engineering decisions behind your project.

"Initially, I thought it would be more like vibe coding, but I realised that AI-driven development is much more than simply generating code. We went through different phases, from requirements and design to development, testing and more, with AI being involved throughout the process."

"In college, these aspects were not discussed in this much detail… Here, I got to understand how all the phases of development come together when building an application and how AI can be used effectively throughout the process."

Sanjay Anandkumar

29+ years in the software industry · Tata Consultancy Services

Sanjay builds real-world applications using modern software engineering practices, with AI across the development lifecycle. Through this program he helps learners move beyond asking AI to write code — to think, design, build, verify and ship software with AI as an engineering partner.

This isn't a course about what AI might be able to do. It's how an experienced engineer actually uses AI to build software.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Do I need to know programming?

No. The program is designed so you can join without prior programming experience. AI does much of the implementation; you learn how to direct it, read what it produces, and check it.

Is this just a prompt-engineering course?

No. Prompting is one small part. The program covers requirements, architecture, development, testing, security, deployment and agentic development, using one application throughout.

Will we build a real application?

Yes. The sessions build TalentAI, an AI-assisted recruitment application, step by step. You can also bring your own application idea and implement it as part of the course, applying each step to your own project.

Will AI write the code?

AI does significant implementation work. You learn to give it the right context, review its output, test it and verify that it meets the requirements — because AI-generated output is not evidence of correctness.

Is it online? What if I miss a session?

All 10 sessions are live and online, 1.5 hours each. Ask about catching up on a missed session at the free introductory session.

What does it cost, and when does the next batch start?

Start with the free introductory session: understand the approach, see the application we'll build and ask your questions — then decide whether you want to continue. The program fee and the next batch dates are shared at the session.

Will this get me a job?

No course can promise that. The program is designed to strengthen your project depth and interview readiness, by helping you build an application and understand and explain the engineering decisions behind it.

Who is this not for?

If you only want AI to generate a project for you, or you aren't interested in understanding how software is engineered, this program isn't the right fit.

Don't compete with AI at writing code. Learn to use AI as your engineering partner.

Understand the problem. Design the solution. Accelerate execution. Verify everything. Ship software you can explain and defend — even your own application idea.
